The ISSC is now accepting applications for annual grants to those that support seafarer welfare and nominees for our Peter G. Bernard Volunteer Award.
About Us
For over 100 years, the International Sailors Society Canada has been supporting seafarer centres across Canada. Each year the ISSC distributes $50,000 in grants.

Each year we distribute approximately $50,000 in grants to those that support seafarer welfare in Canada. Applications will be accepted until September 30, 2020
NOMINATE A VOLUNTEER
While volunteers are a large part of every seafarer centre's success, each year we recognize an outstanding and deserving individual with our Peter G. Bernard Volunteer Award.
Apply for a bursary
The Board of Directors set aside an amount each year to support a hard-working students that are on the path to a career at sea. Students studying in a marine-related program at a Canadian educational institute can apply.
